Dodge County High School Achievers Participate in Global Program
10/15/02

For the 7th straight year, students in Ms. Shirley Greene's marketing classes and entrepreneurship class at Dodge County High School in Eastman, Georgia, are participating in the Global Achievers program which pairs schools in Georgia with schools in other countries such as Scotland, England, Japan, Germany, Spain, and Canada. Achievers students at Dodge County High School have named their company Dodge International Marketing Company (DIMCO).

DCHS has traded with various schools in Scotland for the past six years and have exported to Scotland various Georgia products such as peanuts, pecan log rolls, GooGoo bars, Georgia key chains, peach buds candy from South Carolina. The partner schools have imported fudge, toffee, stuffed animals, spurtles (an ancient stirring device), aprons, clocks, and key chains. For this school term, their partner school is Lakeshore Catholic High School in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada. DIMCO also exported to schools in northern Spain for their International Market Day in Oviedo last May.
