Bobby W. Welch
Bobby Welch currently serves as Executive Director of NCARC/Rutledge,
Inc. in Newnan. Prior to beginning there in January, 1999, Welch
was a professional educator serving 33 years in the Coweta
County School System as teacher, principal, assistant
superintendent, associate superintendent, and superintendent.
Welch was born in Autauga County, Alabama, and graduated from
Coosa County High School. He received a B.S. degree from
Jacksonville State University, a Master's Degree from Auburn
University, and an Education Specialist's Degree from Georgia
State University. Among his civic and professional activities,
Welch served as president of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of
Commerce, president of the United Way, president of the Newnan
Civitan Club, Chairman of the Board for Georgia Youth Science
and Technology Center in Newnan, Chairman of the Board of NCARC/Rutledge,Inc.,
and consultant to the State Georgia Youth Science and Technology
Center. He is a member of Phi Delta Kappa, First United
Methodist Church in Newnan, as well as numerous statewide
education organizations.
Mr. Welch has made his home in Newnan, Georgia, for over forty
years. He and his wife Gerry have a daughter and a son, both of
whom are married, and four granddaughters and one grandson..
