Clar W. Cukor
Consultant
Clarence (Clar) Cukor served as Marketing/Export manager of the
Georgia Duck and Cordage Mill for two decades prior to his
retirement. (Georgia Duck is now one of the world's leaders in
the Conveyor Belting Market.) During that time he was
responsible for marketing, sales training, advertising,
literature, all export activities and major OEM business.
Prior to that time he had a distinguished career as Product
Manager, marketing manager, and or Export Manager in the
packaging and vending industries.
Cukor has authored hundreds of technical articles on packaging,
textiles and particularly conveyors and conveyor belting, as
well as many articles relative to marketing and exporting. He
has addressed many regional and national exporting meetings.
He is a graduate of the University of Chicago with a BS degree
in Math and Physics.
Cukor currently volunteers much of his time, as he feels an
obligation to repay society for those advantages he now enjoys.
He is an active member of SCORE; Export Consulting Committee,
DeKalb Chamber of Commerce (Chair); the Grain Elevator and
Processors Society; Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper
Industry; the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Manlift
Committee, the Rubber Manufacturers Association, the National
Industrial Belting Association; and the Society of Plastics
Engineers.
Cukor chaired the Technical Committee of the National Industrial
Belting Association for a number of years prior to his
retirement. He was named a Lifetime Member of NIBA for his
contribution to the association, the second such honor given in
its 106 year history.
